"In the absence of color, black-and-white artwork evokes a special immediacy to an image. And because this is an online exhibit, from all the beautiful works to choose from, I was drawn to works that read well for an on-screen experience. The selected works made me curious to pause and learn about the medium and its process or ponder the suggestive narrative delivered in a voice that felt singular."
